somewhere out there

It is kind of strange to have so much time go by without talking to the person that I usually talk to the most. Every other trip he or I have taken has either been shorter or involved multiple phone calls. Multiple. My power to drag out a phone conversation is powerful and hard to resist. This time, though, all we have are email messages and today a short google chat. Was it just my luck that a few minutes after we realized we were both online at the same time (it was 8:50 in the morning for me, and 9:50 in the evening for him) I had to leave my computer and attend a long and boring meeting? Yes, it was just my luck. I almost shed a few tears because, well, even though I can sing about us both being underneath the same blue sky, there is just something special about knowing that at the exact moment I was thinking about him, he was thinking about me. And we were almost talking. And it was hard to walk away.

Ahhh....this post is so sweet! I can imagine that it would be hard to have your "love" on the other side of the world.....that must have made your day to have "ran into eachother" online. Do you use Skype to talk to eachother? I LOVE it! I am sure you know about it but if not....let me know and I can fill you in.

BTW...this is random...but...has Somebody ever told you about the time he had to hide chickens behind the church building in Flushing? Too funny! I have a vivid video in my mind of him running down the block in his P-day clothes to hide the chickens behind the church so that they Sr. Missionaries would'nt see them in their apartment. It was kind of a joke that the English speaking Elders had started....they bought these chickens and somehow they would magically appear in a different missionary apartment every night. Well...the Chinese speaking Elders got them when the surprise call came from the Sr. couple. My companion and I were studying in the morning and we looked out the window and saw Somebody and his companion with the chickens. Our zone ended up giving them to the mission President as a joke...they told them that it was a gift from the Chinese branch. One of the Elders ended up taking them back to the apartment and their zone ate them for dinner that week. Very interesting! I have no idea why I am telling you this...I just thought it was kind of a funny one about Somebody.
